I have started to read Oswald Chambers, his book "My Utmost for His Highest" and it has re-opened my eyes to the little things. I was reading a devotion from that one day and it made me think, because it was talking about seeing God even in the little things. I think we sometimes forget to think simply as a child would. I can think back to when I was 9 and 10 and running around outside and even though I was just a child God spoke to me through nature. I could find God in anything I found, and I thought that every little thing in nature was so special because Gods hands were in it. But , where is that inner child now? Why I have forgotten to stop and see God in the little things? Because "Ima big girl now" and am constantly running and going and get so distracted from these little things and moments of realizing that God is constantly everywhere we look. I have been trying to catch these snippets of God in His creation everyday, I am trying to take a little time out of my day to relax and let God show Himself to me in one way or another. I am human so of course haven't been very good on this promise I made myself , but God has helped me realize His glory in things everyday even when I don't let myself relax. Like this painting that God painted in the sky one night as the sun was setting for me to notice His glory even for just that moment. I would just encourage everyone to take some time out of their day to enjoy God's creation that is all around us. Even being a busy college student and having tons of tests all the time :/ . But all of us can take 5 minutes out of our day to thank God for His glory and Mercy :)
